 2013 King Week Activities

On behalf of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee, we are pleased to extend this invitation to participate in the upcoming 31st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, January 21 2013, at 10 am.

As we all strive for a better world, the King parade is an excellent way to demonstrate our unified commitment to peace and brotherhood. We look forward to celebrating the life of this great American with you. This year’s themeis an excellent creed for us all.

No parade applications will accept after Friday, January 11, 2013.  Applications received after the above deadline date will not be accepted. The parade entry fee is $125.00. No candy or items may be thrown at any time during the parade, for someone may be injured.

The parade will start at Fourth Street, head north on Fourth Street to Ogden – (where it concludes), then the parade will disburse on Fourth Street immediately north of Stewart Avenue. Again, we look forward to celebrating this important holiday with you.

Listed above is a copy of the parade entry form and judging criteria. On your parade entry, please check which category you wish to enter. All CCSD applicants MUST contact Dr. GRETA PEAY our school Liaison at 799-8484.
