A lot has changed since Musiq first hit the scene. He’s no longer that talented cat from Philadelphia who just wants to sing. Since then, he’s made the shift from his native Philly, where he honed his skills among the city’s prolific music scene, to Atlanta. He’s gone platinum not once, but twice, and performed with everyone from Mary J. Blige and Carlos Santana to Estelle and The Roots. As he readies the release of MusiqintheMagiq, he is eager to show fans yet another side, and perhaps let them in on the secret to his unforgettable blend of magic.

Today, Musiq is eager to deliver his new blend of Magic to his audience. He looks forward to hitting the road on tour, as well as diving into new creative projects. “I’m excited about the album because it gives me a reason to connect with the people that have supported me for so long. Hopefully this project will open more doors for me professionally, creatively and personally, even.

“I’m always looking forward to bigger and better things. There’s no difference this year… The only difference is that each year I can always look forward to more.”

Drake – Club Paradise Tour

Drake has been cooped up inside for far too long, and now the Young Money standout is ready to breathe some fresh air into his Club Paradise Tour. On Thursday morning (March 22), Drizzy announced a 27-city amphitheater run that will begin on May 7 at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord, California.

The concert comes to the MGM Grand (Las Vegas, NV) on Friday, May 11th, 2012. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com

“I feel like this tour is coming at the perfect time,” Drake said in a press release issued to MTV News. “It’s taking place in the season that we all wait for, we’re outdoors and you’ve got every single artist you wait to hear in the club on one bill … that’s Club Paradise.”

A Star Struck New Year’s

Vegas had more stars come out New Year’s Eve than any other city in the world. BOB at LAX, John Legend at the Palms, Chris Brown at Pure and Vanessa Williams at the Riviera just to name a few. However, the golden ticket to have was to celebrate 2012 with Stevie Wonder at the Cosmopolitan.

One of the pricier parties on the strip, tickets started at $250, but true Stevie fans came out in full force. The Chelsea, Cosmopolitan’s indoor concert venue was packed to full capacity when Wonder hit the stage at 11 p.m. He rocked the crowd with hits such as “Master Blaster”, “Overjoyed,” and “My Eyes Don’t Cry” for over two-and-a-half hours, pausing to usher in 2012 with a celebratory countdown as the clock struck midnight.

The large flat screens that flanked the stage gave the party goers a bird’s eye view of the fireworks from both ends of the strip.

As an added surprise R&B singer Tyrese joined Wonder on stage and sang along to several songs, including “Superstition.”
