A lot has changed since Musiq first hit the scene. He’s no longer that talented cat from Philadelphia who just wants to sing. Since then, he’s made the shift from his native Philly, where he honed his skills among the city’s prolific music scene, to Atlanta. He’s gone platinum not once, but twice, and performed with everyone from Mary J. Blige and Carlos Santana to Estelle and The Roots. As he readies the release of MusiqintheMagiq, he is eager to show fans yet another side, and perhaps let them in on the secret to his unforgettable blend of magic.

Today, Musiq is eager to deliver his new blend of Magic to his audience. He looks forward to hitting the road on tour, as well as diving into new creative projects. “I’m excited about the album because it gives me a reason to connect with the people that have supported me for so long. Hopefully this project will open more doors for me professionally, creatively and personally, even.

The Fresh Music Festival celebrates the best in R&B, hip hop and soul music all in one show. The lineup includes K-Ci & JoJo, Doug E. Fresh, Keith Sweat, Guy and SWV.

Doug E. Fresh is known as the “first human beatbox in the rap world” and has thrilled fans from his first single, “The Show/La Di Da Di.” Keith Sweat boasts several Platinum-selling albums and Top-20 singles. K-Ci & JoJo’s songs “All My Life” and “Crazy” have had women swooning since their release in the late ’90s and early 2000′s. Guy, recently reunited, are still churning out hits that made them popular, like their classics “Groove Me” and “Piece of My Love.” SWV rounds out the all-star lineup as the only female act on the bill – these hard-working ladies have released hit after R&B hit to take their place among the top selling female R&B groups in the industry.
