Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly hosts his annual back to school fair on August 14th with a live broadcast from Power 88′s All Over Town Chris Brown.

Back-to-School Fair

When: Tuesday August 14, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: Walnut Recreation Center, 3075 N. Walnut Road
 
What:
The Commission District D office invites the public to a back-to-school event at Walnut Recreation Center. School supplies will be distributed and various activities are planned for the entire family. For more information, call (702) 455-7277.

POWER 88′S MORNING MAYHEM CREW WILL BE WALKING FOR BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES WITH McDONALD’S THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 10TH, AT 6AM.

WE’LL START AT McDONALD’S ON WASHINGTON AND RANCHO AFTER A BREAKFAST OF McDONALD’S OATMEAL.

THEN WE’LL CONTINUE ON TO THE McDONALD’S ON MLK AND LAKE MEAD. AFTER A BREAK FOR A CHERRY BERRY CHILLER, WE’LL HEAD ON TO POWER 88 HEADQUARTERS AT 330 WEST WASHINGTON AVENUE, AT D STREET.

WE’LL HAVE DROP BOXES AT BOTH McDONALD’S FOR ALL THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES YOU CAN DONATE THROUGH AUGUST 20TH. PLAN NOW TO HELP POWER 88 AND McDONALD’S  COLLECT SCHOOL SUPPLIES THIS FRIDAY BEGINNING AT 6AM.

Back-to-School Fair (all ages)
Hosted By Las Vegas City Councilman Ricki Barlow

Saturday, Aug. 18, 9 a.m.to noon
Free admission.
Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St., (702) 229-6125.

Free school supplies for children ages 5-12 and popsicles will be distributed while supplies last. Enjoy free face painting and music.

Southern Nevada Health District staff will administer free immunization shots. Be sure to bring children’s shot records.

Food vendors will be available. Wristbands for school supplies will not be handed out until 8:30 a.m. For more information, please call 229-5443.
