We all know that Vegas heat is no joke. So when the temperature climbs into the triple digits this season, the RTC encourages you to take precautions when you travel by transit. Stay safe and protect yourself from the extreme heat during your trips this summer.

Here are some important tips to help you stay cool and safe this summer:

Travel with plenty of water and use a spill-proof container on buses.
Minimize heat exposure by arriving at your stop no more than 10 minutes before the bus’s scheduled stop time. You can check your bus’s arrival time and location using our online RideTracker or text RideRTC followed up a space and your stop ID number to 41411.
Protect your skin by seeking shade at the bus stop, wearing a hat, bringing an umbrella and wearing sunscreen.
