As a result of the Trayvon Martin case and some local incidents that happened in Assemblywoman Dina Neal’s district, several community organizations are planning a workshop for youth. Black Graduate Student Association and Black Law Student Association representatives on this committee proposed a session entitled “Ask a Teen: The Impact of Racial Profiling”.

Youth (ages 13-19) Will Learn: 1) How to react and communicate when stopped by the police. 2) How to prevent an altercation from happening. 3) How to diffuse a violent situation. 4) How to deal with emotional and psychological effects of racial profiling.
