As you may know KCEP-FM, POWER 88.1, celebrated this past Sunday at Sam’s Town Live and the 40th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser was a fantastic success!

KCEP Power 88 was proud to announce Legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artist Gladys Knight and original Pip, Merald “Bubba Knight Jr.,” that performed at the Gala. Both will join Hosted George Wallace, and special guests Gospel innovator Bobby Jones and recording artist Willie Clayton. Bubba Knight paid a special tribute to legendary on air personality and “Father of Black Radio” Jack the Rapper.

Over the past four decades Power 88 has played a vital role in many lives from providing information on health awareness, education, politics, legal matters, housing, finances, spirituality and entertainment, to being a platform, outlet and a development base for career minded individuals in those fields.
