The Annual Las Vegas Dunk Exchange known as DXC took place on February 16th inside the Hard Rock Café on the Las Vegas Strip. Known as one of the biggest shoe expos in the West thousands came out to buy, sell and trade their kicks. The overwhelming support for the Las Vegas Dunk Exchange is in part because of the DXC’s consistency, large selection of street wear companies and its ability to showcase sneakers, music, fashion and art in Las Vegas.
The purpose of DXC is to bring the “Sneaker Head” culture as a whole together for a fun time with other fellow “Sneaker Heads” one attendee commented by saying this is “For sneaker heads, by sneaker heads.”
The thousands that came out for this year’s event consisted of attendees from New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Miami. Most came out just to check what new kicks were out and how to cop a fresh pair for the new season. Others came out to try to sell their kicks that they have in their closet that they have out grown or taking the opportunity to trade up their style.
This year DXC concluded with a special live performance from Las Vegas Native and independent artist “Dizzy Wright”, DXC will be back in Las Vegas Fall 2014 for another round.
